Summer Fun!

Oklahoma Trip

This August I spent a week with the fam in Oklahoma. It was a much needed trip as I was feeling pretty homesick after my big move across country. As you all know there's never a whole lot going on in small towns, so my days were mostly spent reading, relaxing, shopping, and soaking up the sun. I also spent some time with my 3 year old niece, Katelyn. They are cute at that age and pretty much say whatever you tell them to (or whatever they hear, which, with my potty mouth, is not a good thing!). We spent the day together at the local waterpark where I was forced to go down the kiddie slide at least a dozen times! Jeez, if only I had the energy of a 3 year old!

Back To School

Well, they say it's never too late to go back to school, so here I am. I'm currently attending Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada and am enrolled in a 2-year Law Clerk Program. If all goes as planned, I will graduate in April 2010. This semester I have a total of 6 classes which keeps me pretty busy. I am finding the program very interesting so far. It's amazing to learn about all the differences between Canadian and American law. I'm also finding that some Canadians are anti-American. For some reason they have this crazy idea that we think we are all knowing and all superior. Well of course nobody is perfect, but I think we come pretty damn close! lol. Don't worry...I will do my best to represent the US in a positive manner!
